| Our Statement of Faith: We believe... |
| 1) The Bible is the Word of God:
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." |
2) God's Word became flesh:
"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." "and Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." |
3) Man has sinned against God
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" |
|
|
| 4) There's a price to pay for sin:
"For the wages of sin is death;"
|
5) God will judge man:
"And it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment:" |
6) Jesus came to save man:
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." |
|
|
| 7) Jesus paid the price for us:
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through him."
|
8) Man can be saved:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." |
9) God will forgive us:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." |
|
|
| 10) God will change us:
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
|
11) God will come for us:
"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." |
12) In addition...
We believe that if, as a Christian educational institution, we neglect to teach and acknowledge the God of our forefathers, this same Holy God will forget our own students. "... seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children." (Hosea 4:6c) |
