The success of your student's senior school year greatly depends on you reading carefully each of the following items, and adding these dates to your calendar!

1. Curriculum List:

Please submit each student's Curriculum List on time. Make sure you are aware of your student's remaining credits for graduation. If you have any questions, please contact our Records department.

2. Testing is required for Graduation:

If your student has taken two high school Stanford achievement tests and scored a 4 or higher, then your student has met the requirement for graduation. If they only have one Stanford achievement test, then they will need to take an ACT.

If they take an ACT, they must score a 16 or higher to graduate. Please see the attached schedule for signing up for the ACT. Do not wait until the second semester for your senior to take the ACT test.

Failure to meet the testing requirements will mean your student will not graduate, nor receive a diploma, even if all required credits are completed. Please call the records office if you have any testing questions.

3. Jostens:

Jostens (senior rings, invitations, etc.) will be at Aaron Academy on Tuesday, October 18th between 3pm to 6pm, to help your senior order invitations and class rings. No appointment necessary.

4. Senior Packet:

A Senior Packet will be mailed to you on or before December 16th. Please make sure you read it carefully. It will help your senior finish out the school year smoothly.


5. First Semester Report:

Your senior's first semester reports is due at the school office on or before Friday, January 27th, 2017.

6. Senior Portraits:

Portraits will be taken at Aaron Academy in February: Girls on Friday, February 10th, 2017, and the Boys on Friday, February 24th, 2017.

Portraits can be purchased through Mark Griffith Photography, with further information available on portrait day. Please call the office to schedule your student’s appointment.

7. Graduation Ceremony:

If you would like your senior to participate in our graduation ceremony, the sign-up deadline is February 17th, 2017 and the fee is $225.00. The graduation fee covers their cap, gown, tassel, diploma with cover, and the ceremony.

A late fee of $75 will apply after this date. Applications not accepted after April 21st, 2017.

Our graduation ceremony has been held at First Baptist Church of Hendersonville for many years, between late May and mid-June. The final date will be posted as soon as the Church approves it. Thank you for your patience. As soon as we receive the date, an email will be sent. Please, if you change your email address, call our office and let us have your new one!

For seniors in our graduation ceremony, their final grades (Second Semester reports) will be due in May. You will receive notification of this due date in your senior packet that you will receive in December.

8. Second Semester Report:

Second semester reports are due on or before July 14th, 2017. Grades will not be accepted after July 31st. After this date, your senior’s only option left will be to take a GED.

9. High School Diplomas:

Seniors not participating in our graduation ceremony will receive their diplomas in the mail after all the graduation requirements are met.


10. Financial Aid:

For seniors planning to attend college, please be aware of recent changes to FAFSA reporting.
