STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe:

1. The Bible is the Word of God:

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1)

"I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me:" (Isaiah 45:5)
2. God's Word became flesh:

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

(Jesus answered them...) "I and my Father are one." (John 10:(25a) and 30)

"and Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God." (John 20:28)
3. Man has sinned against God:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)

"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" (Romans 3:10)

"The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God." (Psalms 14:1)

4. There's a price to pay for sin:

"For the wages of sin is death;" (Romans 6:23a)
5. God will judge man:

"And it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgment:" (Hebrews 9:27)
6. Jesus came to save man:

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

7. Jesus paid the price for us:

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from the wrath through him." (Romans 5:8-9)

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6)

"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" (I Timothy 2:5)

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
8. Man can be saved:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10)

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8)
9. God will forgive us:

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9)

"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool." (Isaiah 1: 18)

"As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." (Psalm 103:12)

10. God will change us:

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32)
11. God will come for us:

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first;
then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
12. God's word is true:

"If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words on the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18b,19)
